1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Umbra ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

Umbra is a privacy-first web browser for iOS that provides tab isolation, content blocking, anti-fingerprinting, encrypted DNS, and encrypted local bookmarks. The App is developed and maintained by NorseHorse ("we," "us," "our").

3. Subscription Tiers

Umbra offers three tiers:

• Shadow (Free) — Core browser features, basic content blocking, encrypted bookmarks
• Eclipse (Pro) — $3.99/month or $29.99/year auto-renewable subscription. Includes custom DNS providers, advanced blocklists, and priority support.
• Void (Lifetime) — $59.99 one-time purchase. All Pro features, forever.

Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store and managed via your Apple ID settings. Prices may vary by region. Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Umbra only for lawful purposes. You may not use the App to:

• Access, download, or distribute illegal content
• Circumvent access controls on services that prohibit automated access
• Engage in any activity that violates applicable local, state, national, or international law
• Interfere with or disrupt our servers or services

5. Content Blocking Disclaimer

Umbra's content blocking feature is designed to block ads, trackers, and fingerprinting scripts. We do not guarantee that all ads or trackers will be blocked, nor that blocking will not occasionally interfere with website functionality. You can whitelist specific sites where blocking causes issues.

6. No Warranty

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, NorseHorse shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the App.

8. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Intellectual Property

The App, including its code, design, and branding, is the intellectual property of NorseHorse. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App, nor may you reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code.

10. Third-Party Content

Umbra displays web content from third-party websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party websites or services you visit through the App.

11. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

12. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Alabama, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
